Basque Sheepherder

Lady Pirate and I went for an evening hike, past Snake TunL #2, and on down the Trail, where we had a dinner picnic courtesy of Big Pig Smokehouse. Then it was onward to the Basque Sheepherder cache. We found the cache then went and admired the monument. All in all a great hike, and an enjoyable cache. For previous pics of the monument click here.

Desert Pirate Radio

I interviewed my kids for GeoRadio.Org. It was fun, and I hope the submission gets accepted. Until I can get it hosted at Archive.Org, it can be heard here.

Multiple finds

What a day. First we hit PicMe!PicMe!. I really liked this one. In the cache were a couple of different mem cards for digital cameras, so we can leave a pic for the maintainter to post here. Next, it was off to Snake Tunl2. This was also in Rancho San Rafael, but we had no idea the trail was so extensive. The wierd dot thing in the center is the Basque Sculpture. It's pretty cool.

After that, it was time to hit UFO Landing Site. This was a cool cache with a great view.

Well, Let it Idle, Wild Man kicked our butts. We never found it. But that doesn't mean we didn't have a good time. The kids climbed trees after we had a picnic lunch. Idlewild is a great park.

It was time for some more finds. We hit Multitude of Muggle Mobiles, then Shelf Life, and then Souvenir Penny Cache. The view from Multitude of Muggle Mobiles was great, and Souvenir Penny Cache is right at a local Reno landmark. Shelf Life was a great cache with a unique payoff. We really liked it. All in all, a great day with 6 finds, and only one "Did Not Find".
