Beyond The Amazon, revisited.

Yesterday we visited the Beyond the Amazon cache. It was an overcast windy day, much better for desert hiking than the 90+ degree weather we've been having as of late. We found the cache in good time, and dropped off the USA Geocoin that we've had for over a month confused. Along the way found an inexplicable mound of bread, in the middle of nowhere... Ah, the mysteries of the desert.

Quick find, in Reno

We took a stroll through rainbow ridge park in Reno, which was interesting, because we'd never been in that area of town before. The park is located near a ravine in the middle of a couple of neighborhoods, and we couldn't have asked for a nicer day to be out and about. We found the Haunted Canyon cache, but we forgot the camera. Since we didn't follow the winding park path to it's end, I'm sure we'll be back soon. Only one event marred the day. One of our members lost a necklace during out time at the park. We searched high and low, with no luck. It either fell on the path or in the grass, and someone found it, or it fell during a quick scramble on some rocks, and went out of sight.
