Lexington, KY

The second early morning jaunt took me to KY Heritage Cache #3 (Mary Todd Lincoln House). A very beautiful house with lots of history. I regret not being able to see it when it was open for tours.

50!

mood: calm

Well, according to Geocaching.com I'm at my 50th cache. This am I took a nice walk around Downtown Lexington and visited "The Lexington Triangle. It's a very nice spot, and I'll update this entry with some pics later. is a very nice, very green part of the country.

2 out of 3, again.

Had some time to kill in Fallon, so I did some caching.

First it was off to Churchill County Museum, which was a Virtual Cache. The second cache, School's in, which was not easy, but I found it. Then it was off to try and find Emergency, which was a bust. The third cache, Token Cache, almost a DNF, but after some perseverance, I found it, but only because I mis-remembered the clue and decided to look somewhere I'd decided the cache wasn't. A 2nd attempt at Emergency, but no luck. That cache is located at the edge of a parking lot for Fallon's Hospital, in a groomed lawn area but without any path or other reason for a lone guy without a pet or kid(s) to chase around, so it felt kind of wierd just stumbling and bumbling around there. Maybe next time I'll take the kids; they're pretty eagle-eyed, so they'll probably have no problem finding it.
