Curve jig in place. Pieces are loose, until placed up against curve, then stapled to crossmember.

Place the tips of the jig on surface to be cut. Then mark a dot at each point. Remove jig. Drive a nail at each mark. Use a batten against the nails to draw the curve. Voila, an (almost) exact copy of the curve you were duplicating.
