I got to visit an old friend today...
Wanna make something cool? Visit Grand Illusions, download and print out the dragon. This little paper statue's gaze will follow you around the room. It's the same principle behind the "Disney's Haunted Mansion's" library busts. Check out the video Grand Illusions has of the dragon statue, too. It's pretty cool.

Click the logo to check out "Second Life". It's a Massively Online "game" that is anything but. The coolest thing about it is that you can define your own environment within the "metaverse", and create anything you want within it. The terms of service also allow you property rights over what you create, so you can give away, or even sell your creations. There's also a very powerful scripting language to control your creation. It seems that literally nothing is unpossible, now. And what's the cost? A one time fee of $10. If you want to own property, then there are monthly fees...
My Alter-Ego, "Elder Steptoe" can sometimes be found sleazing around Nth Gen Labs, on Kanaloa (51,231). Drop by and say "Hi".
The Folks over at BBC Radio 4 have given the old Infocom Hitchhiker's Guide a makeover. It's pretty cool. The only negative is that you have to remain online while you play, and if you have to use dialup, people trying to call you over and over may get irked at you... Ah well, all in good fun... Click Here to play.

There's a new H2G2 Trailer available The Official Website
It was really great to catch up with Chris. I really regret not doing it years sooner... If you have an old friend whom you haven't contacted in years, get off your ass and go call them. Now. Go ahead. The internet can wait.
The extended entry contains a ~1.5MB version of the above anim if you care to see it. [more]
